CYCAP Wins “Repowering Achievement of the Year” at the 2026 Wind Investment Awards

At the seventh annual Wind Investment Awards, hosted by Tamarindo in London on May 21, 2026, CYCAP received two recognitions for Project BLUE: the award in the “Repowering Achievement of the Year” category, and a High Commendation for “Project Finance Deal of the Year – Developers.”

The Wind Investment Awards recognize outstanding transactions, projects, and industry participants across the global wind sector each year. CIO Franjo Salic accepted both awards on behalf of the CYCAP team and all external partners involved.

Project BLUE refers to the restructuring of existing portfolios into Germany’s largest repowering fund, combined with a debt financing structure of up to €1.6 billion. For the first time, fund-level financing was consolidated at portfolio level without additional equity from existing investors, resulting in a capacity expansion from 457 MW to over 1.1 GW, financed by a tier 1 international banking club.

On the High Commendation, the jury stated: “In Project BLUE, CYCAP has shown how to deliver financial solutions to unlock growth of wind repowering projects. This market-leading deal is original, creative and sets the path for future transactions.”
