Franjo Salic

Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at CYCAP

Shaping the future of renewable energy through active portfolio management — pooled financing and economies of scale instead of single deals, managed across the entire lifecycle.

About Franjo Salic

As Chief Investment Officer at CYCAP, Franjo Salic is responsible for M&A, Asset Management and Power Markets. Together with his team, he develops a renewable energy portfolio of approximately EUR 2.7 billion in assets under management and more than 100 wind and solar assets across several investment vehicles.

His focus is on developing and expanding renewable energy portfolios in a way that makes them economically viable, operationally manageable and resilient over the long term. At CYCAP, the entire lifecycle is managed in-house — from sourcing and structuring through to active asset management. Current priorities include repowering and hybridization as well as financing structures and power purchase agreements (PPAs).

Franjo Salic joined CYCAP in 2013 and has been a member of the Management Board since November 2024. His background is in banking, finance and management, with more than 16 years of experience in the project and financing business.

Energy Box presented him with the Green Leadership Award at the 4th Solar Energy Storage Future Germany 2026 — recognition of his role in advancing repowering and hybridization strategies in the German renewable energy market.
