About CYCAP

CYCAP is a fully integrated renewable energy asset manager headquartered in Hamburg. The company governs investments across their entire lifecycle — from fund structuring through sourcing, analysis and financing to asset development, construction and operational optimization. All relevant functions are held in-house.

Founded in 2000, CYCAP has been part of Brookfield Asset Management since 2017 and operates with full managerial independence. To date, 103 wind and solar projects with 2.2 GW(p) of installed capacity have been realized; assets under management stand at approximately EUR 2.7 billion across nine investment vehicles (as of December 2025). CYCAP invests in solar PV, onshore wind and battery storage in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Denmark and Sweden.

The focus lies on repowering and hybridization of existing sites. Existing grid connection points and cable routes materially reduce development risk and cost while generating additional return potential. CYCAP manages Germany's largest repowering fund; a syndicated financing of EUR 1.6 billion underpins a capacity expansion of more than 140 per cent by 2030.

This model is carried by around 150 employees, more than 70 of whom work exclusively on technical and commercial asset optimization. It is complemented by a proprietary digital infrastructure developed in-house: AI-powered processes in monitoring, reporting, billing and asset optimization are an established part of standard operations and are managed by a dedicated team.
